1. In what ways
does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real
media products?
2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
·
As you can see from the image being used below,
all of the main characters which feature in our film are teenagers. You could
say that because of this the social group/s it represents is one of the younger
generation. The clothes which a worn, the way that they act as a group of
friends and the language which is used, all represent the modern day
teenager.
3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
· If a media institution would distribute our media product, I would like to think, that as a British horror/thriller film, something similar to ‘The Women In Black’.

· The reason for this being is that we have created a film which follows subtlety in those footsteps. It would be taken on by someone such as momentum pictures, from the UK, who are known for such films like these.
4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
· The target audience for our film would be male and females from ages 15 to 25. The reason for this is because of the actor young ages, which means that it is easy for the audience to connect and relate.
· Our film would have similar audiences to other thriller films which use similar characters and techniques, such as ‘A Night In The Woods’ and ‘The Blair Witch Project’ which all have high levels of thrill and use the same POV technique.
5. How did you attract/address your audiences?
·
The Narrative: The narrative was purely
to get the audience asking questions in their heads. We wanted to create
suspense and a sense of curiosity. We wanted the audience to be asking what
happens next.
· The use of the Camera: For nearly all of the opening of our film the camerawork used is all P.O.V. and hand held. We did this to create a more realistic and thrilling atmosphere. We wanted the audience to feel like they were there. Because of the technique used they saw everything we did, there were no hidden cameramen and all lighting was natural.
· The use of characters & Mise en Scene: Both of these things were both portrayed in similar ways. They were shown to both be realistic; everything was shown like it would have been in a real life situation. They way the characters acted to certain events and the way that things were laid out (the mise en scene) for example the abandoned camp site.
· The use of characters (in depth): The characters we used were very easy to relate to, because of their personality. We crated characters which people would like, find funny and did not dislike. Because of this we hope that they would be concerned if something would happen to them and draw them closer into the film. The characters were portrayed as the average person, they weren’t anything special, just three normal guys.
6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
