- A shallow depth of field is used when the two characters are talking outside the plane. The face of the man in frame is the only thing in focus because he is revealing a significant character - 'The masked man'
- A wide shot is used when showing a high angle shot of the plane flying. This creates suspense as there is plenty of room for something to happen.
- Variety of settings - starts in urban area before cutting to a rural area. The funeral is in an urban area (Gotham City) because that is the main area for the movie. The movie set in an urban area because it wouldn't have that dark, eery feeling, built up with dark alleys and passages for you to get lost in.
- Props - guns are used to characterize the 'bad guys', and hoods are used to hide the identity of those captured by the 'bad guys'.
- Costume - 'bad guys' are wearing militaristic clothing where as suits and formal clothing is used to characterize the 'good guys'. Both symbolizes who the spectator is expected to like and/or dislike and creates realism.
- The dark lighting gives off a dark feel, and suggests Gotham city is a dark place in terms of crime and corruption.
Editing
- Continuity editing used for sense, flow coherence and realism.
- Discontinuity editing is used with a fade from Harvey Dent's funeral to the plane site. Creates an unsettling mood.
Sound
- Diegetic sounds - car engine, airplane engine - used for realism.
- Non diegetic sound - track - used to construct a tense atmosphere.
- Dialogue apparent throughout.

See comments for Inception. There is the same problem here. You need to look at exemplar work from last year if you don't know what I mean. For example - WHY urban settings? Why this lighting design? What terms must you use? What type of non-diegetic sound? What mood is enhanced? Parallel? etc etc.
